Mary McDonald [1]

Mary was classically trained on the violin, and keeps up her interest in this through playing in a local orchestra. In more recent times, Mary has wholeheartedly embraced the Scottish fiddle tradition, attending courses both in New Zealand and overseas. Her teaching and calling are a feature of the Schiehallion line-up, contributing significantly to the success of the band.  As the prime arranger of the dance programmes, Mary takes pride in tailoring the evening to suit the needs and wishes of the dancing audience.
